Seattle

I recently went on my very first trip by myself since becoming a mom.
My oldest, dearest friend of 20 years, Krista, let me step into her world for a few days.

It was great!!!

We climbed a mountain to see 3 breath-taking levels of elevation at Wallace Falls. I've never experienced nature's beauty the way I did out there with all the mountains, trees, green & water. Gorgeous!

While hiking may be second nature for Washingtonians (sp?) it was really hard for me! I'm extra proud of myself (and Krista for pushing me) to do the entire trail!

I got to see many amazing neighborhoods around Seattle and even experience 3 forms of Seattle's public transportation: cab, bus & the trolley (SLUT). My favorite form was walking... up the cobblestone hills and around downtown. Krista (a future Registered Dietician) introduced me to some of Seattle's finest at a "Foodportunity" sampling/networking event. Afterwards I tried Korean food for the first time at this place (Revel):

This was our sushi the night before - Ahhh-Mazing!! I think Krista needs to be a food photographer & critic on the side.

This is here for a before & after shot of my Seattle haircut:

After

(I wish I could have brought Max back with me. He gave me a great haircut & spent more time on it than any haircut I've ever had. Very relaxing!)

Lunch at Pink Door on terrace - very pretty! Lots of locals informed me I was LUCKY because the weather was perfect & sunny.

Okay, the rest of my pics are scenic & think quite beautiful. If you're not into looking at other people's travel pics of random "artistic" things, then you can stop now ;)

Where they do the infamous fish throwing:

Knock Knock, Who's There? Grandma Carol!

We were delighted G'ma Carol got to join us for a few days.

We went to an inflatables place, shared some meals, watched some movies & had an all-around great time!

Thanks for coming Grandma! We'll see you soon!!

Dentist!

It was Audrey's FIRST trip to the Dentist!

Even though it was Ian's 2nd or 3rd visit, I had never documented this glorious event. This time I went camera in hand & got ready for Audrey to scream her head off...

Wouldn't you know it, she loved it.
Here's Ian clean, polished & proud. He's always been such a good patient.

Audrey getting ready for her exam - all smiles start to finish :)

And so begins Summer...

We kicked off the summer with a fun Memorial Weekend. Uncle Pat came to town to celebrate turning 30! Aunt Colleen was in town with Lyla & Greyson so it was extra special for Ian's first week off school.

I have a great idea... let's pile the kids aged 9 mos, 2, 3 & 4 onto Uncle Pat for a photo

We went to our new bounce house place in town.

The bouncing was fun but I think the biggest draw were the games, winning tickets & turning the tickets in for the world's cheapest toys ever.

"Mommy! Look what Grandpa won me!"

SO... I promised myself I would keep this blog going & so keep it going is what I intend to do! Stay tuned for our fun summer adventures hopefully spaced closer than my latest entries. June is promising to be a month filled with visiting family, 2 trips, some cakes, a rummage sale and a partridge in a pear tree.
