Bay Beach

Bay Beach is a great amusement park/playground/picnic area on the bay.
Ian is finally old enough to enjoy the many toddler rides!
We were very nervous about the first couple rides but he was a pro - he went on about a dozen or more rides before we left.
He was very serious about "driving"

This is what happened every single time a ride ended...
Weee!
The train was perhaps his favorite
Hi Daddy! Can you see me?!
Grandma Carol came to spend the weekend as well. Ian had a blast with Grandma!

Baby Due Feb. 7

Yeah! We got to see our "peanut" today & wanted to share its first picture. We saw the flicker of the heartbeat (120) so it all finally feels real.
What you're looking at here: (1) the black kidney bean is the gestational sac (2) the white circle on the far right is the yolk sac - which is nurishing the baby now but will eventually disappear (3) the little white peanut on the bottom middle is the baby - cute huh?

Stay tuned... in 3 months we'll find out if it's a boy or a girl!

Big Boy Stuff

If it's anything new, exciting, or related to being a big boy - Ian is on board.
He's mastered feeding himself a bowl of cereal for breakfast everyday!

...and he went PEE PEE on the POTTY for the first time this morning! He asks to sit on it a lot (and no he's not always naked) but until now he hasn't officially used it.
We are so proud of our little guy - so proud, in fact, that we're willing to share this somewhat embarassing picture.

Green Bay Zoo

Okay... we only have 1 photo of Ian actually showing his face to the camera.
Needless to say, he was so busy exploring we couldn't capture too many Kodak moments.
Here he is recognizing the elephant is the same as the elephant on his shirt... priceless
Checking out the monkeys we kept promising him (still into everything monkey)
"So... How do I get through this fence anyway???"

Yes, the "face shot"

Here we are overlooking a delightful otter habitat. Ian loved the active little critters!

This lion exhibit was really exciting - The lions were very active walking up to the glass. Ian greeted them with a "roar" but left "moo-ing" (?)
